Lagos, Nigeria, 1 October 2026. Ed’s Ride, the Nigerian app for booking rides and sending packages, has changed its name to Kelu. The new name and brand identity took effect on 1 October 2026.
The change is a new name and a new look. The service itself stays the same. Customers keep their accounts, wallet balances and trip history, and nobody needs to sign up again or download a different app.
What is changing
From 1 October 2026, the company operates as Kelu. Over the coming days, customers will notice:
- A new name and app icon. The app updates to Kelu automatically through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
- A fresh visual identity. Kelu’s look is built around deep navy and a bright lime green, with a simple, modern logo.
- A new web address: getkelu.com
- A new contact address: hello@getkelu.com
What stays the same
The rename does not affect how the service works. Kelu still offers:
- Rides: book a car to get around the city, with fares shown before you confirm.
- Package delivery: send parcels across town with live tracking from pickup to drop-off.
- The same wallet: money already in your wallet stays there, ready to use.
- The same drivers and riders who already serve customers on the platform.
Old links, including shared trip-tracking links, will keep working while customers move across to the new name.
What customers need to do
Almost nothing. Customers just need to update the app when the update appears in their app store. Their login details, saved addresses and payment history carry over automatically.
Drivers and delivery riders keep their partner accounts, earnings and approved documents. They also only need to update the app.
A word from the team
“Our promise hasn’t changed. We want every ride and every delivery to be something you can watch and trust from start to finish. Kelu is the name we’ll carry that promise forward with. See it move. Trust it lands.”
